Tier 2 General Visa applying from India

Post by Tom11 » Thu Aug 16, 2018 2:51 pm

Hi ,

I am applying for Tier 2 general visa from India. I have some confusion about the services which are provided by VFS for Visa processing

1) Super priority visa (fee is 89714) - Super Priority Visa service is the fastest way to secure a visa decision. Will get the decision within 24 hrs

2) Priority visa service(fee is 19700) - just place your request at the top of the queue and will get the decision with in 5 working days

Just wanted to know that if I can choose any of the above service to process my visa application for Tier 2 General

Thanks in Advance!!

Tier 2 General Visa -Process to apply

Post by Tom11 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 11:19 am

Hi ,

I need some help for tier 2 general visa. Currently I am in UK on tier 2 ICT long term Dependent. My current employer is ready to sponsor me. Should I apply for tier 2 general visa by myself or hire some solicitor to do it.

Please let me know how much solicitor will charge approximately and any solicitor suggestion would be really helpful.

Thanks

Have you been assigned an RCoS after RLMT and HO approval etc already to apply from home country??
Should I apply for tier 2 general visa by myself or hire some solicitor to do it.
Your choice. Most apply on their own. It is not a complicated application if you meet the requirements and points. Using a solicitor has no influence on your application and they do often get even the most basic applications horribly wrong.
Please let me know how much solicitor will charge approximately and any solicitor suggestion would be really helpful.
No one can tell you what a solicitor will charge as their costs vary. No names or company details of solicitors is permitted to be posted on the forum.

Thank you CR001 for your prompt response.

Yes I have got the COS. Since I am already working for the employer who has given me the COS. So just worried that it won't cause any issue. Not sure If I have to provide some additional documents to support my application in such case when I am already working for them.

I have some doubt for filling the application form

1. My dependent visa is valid till July 2019. Will it cause any problem in Tier 2 general visa?

2. Do I have to give my BRB along with all other documents while submitting my application to Home office from my home country. If not then is it fine to keep that BRP with me?

3. Do I have to mention somewhere in the application or provide some documents to let them know that I am already working with my employer who is providing me the COS.

4. What to fill in the application form as my current residence - whether it will be my home country(india) address or the UK address where I am currently living.

5. Is the below link is correct to fill up my application
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/next

6 There is one question in the application form

" HAVE YOU BEEN ISSUED ANY VISA FOR THE UK, UK
OVERSEAS TERRITORIES OR COMMONWEALTH
COUNTRY IN THE LAST 10 YEARS?" : Do I have to give all the details of my UK current visa which I am holding

Thanks for your help.

No.

Likely you need to submit it. Follow the online process and the VFS process.
3. Do I have to mention somewhere in the application or provide some documents to let them know that I am already working with my employer who is providing me the COS.
If it asks yes.
4. What to fill in the application form as my current residence - whether it will be my home country(india) address or the UK address where I am currently living.
UK.
5. Is the below link is correct to fill up my application
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/next
Your link doesn't work.

Yes, ALL visas you have held or applied for.

Hi,

1. Does it creates problem if you put the same Employer name in the Current employer section as the company where I work at the moment is sponsoring me.
2. As i have to go to India for application , Can we fill the form and take the appointment from UK itself as we travelling to India just 2 days before the actual appointment?

Thanks for your help!

No, however the RLMT might be scrutinised to make sure you have not been 'pre-selected'.

I don't know.

While applying for Restricted COS in Sponsor Management System it's not mentioned that i am currently working for them. When they will scrutinise ,when I will apply from India for visa?

I was selected there for a role on 16th July. Now for the sponsorship its different role, for which I am going to apply in September end. i currently work for them. This can be a reason for rejection? They did the RLMT religiously though.

If you applied and were selected and offered the job AFTER the RLMT process and it is a genuine vacancy, then it should be OK.

Please understand my situation :

I am currently working for a role in company X on ICT(Intra Company Tranfer) dependent visa . Company X has already put the advertisement for a different role and did the RLMT test and they didn't find anyone. Now company X has offered me that role but i still work for Company X , for me its like just role change in the same company and visa switch from ICT dependent to Tier 2 General.

So now if i write the current employer as Company X, is there any chances of rejection for me (considering RLMT was proper) ?

I have answered your question. No one can say definitely whether HO will query it or not. If the process is done properly and sponsor has proof that you were the ONLY suitable and available applicant (should HO request evidence) and that RLMT was not tailored to you so as to exclude all others, then there should be no issue.

Nothing complicated to "understand" about you "situation", which is not "unique" and quite common. I am not stupid and got your point from second post!!!

I am sorry if you mind that. Just wanted to be on same page.
When HO queries Sponsor? .. It happens in background? .. If not does it delays the process (if ideally it is for 1 week)

One more query My wife is on ICT visa(main applicant) and i am going for Tier 2 general visa, should i apply her dependent with me ? If yes what will happen if my visa gets rejected , will she still have her ICT visa ?
