Tier 2 General (shortage Occupation) Dependant Visa

Post by tengkutspb » Mon Aug 27, 2018 1:35 am

Hi! Can anyone please help me with my query? I am on a Tier 2 General Shortage Occupation Visa up to 3 years which will expire on 28/01/2019. I am planning to bring my husband here to join me in the UK by September. I have read from the PBS dependant guidance that the period of leave that will be granted to partners will be in line with the expiry of the main applicant's current leave. Will I still be paying the full dependant visa application fee for up to 3 years (i.e. £464) or will I be paying less since they will be giving him just a few month's leave? Thanks to everyone who will help! :)

Then it will be better to bring my husband after I renew/extend my visa than to bring him now with just a 4-month leave amounting to a 3-year visa. This is sad news for me. thank you for the info!!
