Hi,
I have applied for British citizenship (Form MN1) from outside the UK. My question is, how is the result or the approval letter of the application is sent to the applicant? Does the Home Office send them by the email, post or both of them?

I applied for my little one in Sep 2017 and received the approval in Jan 2018.
The approval letter and naturalisation certification were both sent by post (2nd class). The approval was not received in an email.

Sorry, I missed the "applied from outside UK" part.
I applied from the UK and I will leave it to the experts to advise if the process is different for application made outside UK.

Decision letters are sent by post.
