Confusion in choosing category A or category B

Post by seagul » Tue Aug 28, 2018 6:47 pm

If someone is working on a contract from 3 years which now will be transferred to new company in November. Of course under tupe rule the person will be moved to new company in November. If he is planning to apply entry clearance spouse visa for his wife in October then will it be wiser to apply under category A due to being with present employer from 6 months or should he wait till November and apply under category B where 12 months of payslips and bank statements need. However, if he applies in October then during the time of visa process don't the visa officer will call at previous employer and get annoyed to find that he is no longer there. You think its wiser to apply in October under category A with 6 months of documents but add a covering note that from November he is moving to new company and also emphasis that on the date of application he has already fulfilled the financial requirement under category A with previous employer.

UK sponsor passport pages

Post by seagul » Thu Aug 30, 2018 5:02 pm

Hi

When submitting spouse visa application then whether the whole British passport with every single blank page need to be photocopied and notarized/certified or uncertified/unnotarised photocopy of bio page & entry stamps can be sufficient of British passport.
Thanks in advance.

I would apply under CAT A and provide details of company takeover in cover letter, with proof to show they will still remain employed. I would also provide contact details of future employers. With the takeover showing 12 months of previous employment under CAT B might get a little messy.

Its always best and simpler to go CAT A if the requirements are met.

And how about where British sponsor get paid monthly but as per the company policy the payment arrive in bank on 10th of the following month. For example all the shifts from 1st July till 31st July will be paid on 10th August. So the questions

1. What will be the date of payslips?
2. Whether the 28 days will start counting from 31st July or the 10th August as in above example?

Date of pay is on the payslip and it doesnt have to be the exact date that money arrives at the account. You can clarify this yourself in writing or the employer than do it too. If there are regular payments on 10th of month it would be quiet clear payslip date and payment to account are different dates.

Mostly they are looking to see that the same amount mentioned on payslip is deposited into an bank account and that you provide proof of this in way of payslip and bank statement; any further clarification can be backed by you or employer in writing.
