British sponsor passport pages

Post by seagul » Thu Aug 30, 2018 6:28 pm

Hi
When submitting spouse visa application then whether the whole British passport with every single blank page need to be photocopied and notarized/certified or uncertified/unnotarised photocopy of bio page & entry stamps can be sufficient of British passport.
Thanks in advance.

If the sponsor has a British Passport, then just a photocopy of Bio Page is sufficent.

any official source of this information as because a lot members in past were saying to photocopy all pages even blank ones and certify them.

Guidance last updated 14 August 2018 even though created a while ago

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... form-vaf4a
> Guide to supporting documents: settlement (in English) > Evidence of your sponsor’s
immigration status/ permission to be in
the UK

I have personally not seen any British Passport holder being questioned for submitting photocopy of bio page only.

Photocopy of all pages are required for non-british passport. With birtish passport they can easily check it online thus proof not required as sitrctly.

Can sponsor sign VA4FS form

Post by seagul » Wed Sep 05, 2018 7:22 pm

There is an online application form (VA4FS) which need to be initially filled and its print out need to be taken at biometrics enrolment time in applicant's country. So can that form be signed by sponsor instead applicant to straight away sending the application to Sheffield instead waiting the form to arrive after being signed by applicant????

I would think the applicant needs to sign the form.

When my wife applied from Pakistan, we both went to the appointment and took a copy of the signed form. The form was returned to her and I brought it back to UK with me.

Re my British passport photocopies; because of the uncertainty of what is acceptable, I had all pages certified by a notary. It cost £10 a page but I felt was worth the expense just to be certain.

Get the applicant to sign the relevant pages and then scan and email it to you, then print it out and attach to the other pages of the form before sending it all off to Sheffield

Don't the scanned & emailed one looks a photocopy instead original? And regarding IHS, should it be paid before filling online spouse visa form (V4FS) or first proceed to online (V4FS) form which will divert to IHS payment page??

Are you really the original seagul who knows the answers to most of these questions - i hope your just double checking

Scanned and signed is fine - how else do they expect people to get the application signed from abroad without having it sent to them (even electronically) by their spouse. There is a Electronic declaration signature at end of the form anyway which you do before submitting.

IHS payment is asked for as a process whilst submitting application on visa4uk website - you get re-directed to external website for this
