Family Members Visa Application

Hi,
I am looking to bring my mother who is over 65 on a dependent (family visa) . However as I want to get her for a period longer than 6 months. Also she is the carer for my brother who is deaf by birth .SO ideally i want to get them both here on some kind of family visa which will allow me to support them and also enable my brother to look for work whilst he is here.

If you are British or hold ILR, be aware that the adult dependent relative visa is the hardest visa to get with a very high refusal rate since the rules were toughened in July 2012 and if you risk it and apply and they are refused, it shuts the door to any future visitor visas.
