T2G Company Switch, Does Dependent need new visa

Hi,

I have a Tier 2 General valid till Aug 2019 and my wife has a dependent visa for the same date and both of us have a biometric card.

Got a couple of question
1) If I switch to the different company does my wife need a new visa too?
2) For whatever reason my new visa application gets rejected, can I still continue with my existing visa with my existing company?

2. Yes, provided you have not resigned and still have a valid visa.
