UK Ancestry - SET(O) Version 07/2018 - Questions

Post by chickstar_03 » Thu Sep 06, 2018 2:07 pm

Thanks everyone for your helpful information so far as I've been trawling through the forum questions

My PSC appointment is 12 September and I have a couple questions which i'm hoping someone who has recently done the same can answer.

1. Payment Details SET(O) - if I've prepaid for the PTC appointment separately do I ignore this page? Or fill it all in anyway.

2. Home address details - my address is known by different names. Does it matter?
- council tax has it as Flat Grd Floor, 41
- banks have it either as 41 or 41A
- payslips has it as 41A

3. Section 5.3 - what is your pay each month after income tax and other deductions?
- my role has commission which varies each month. Do I just put in my basic salary per year or what my last payslip shows?

Photographs and documents checklist on SET(O) Version 07/2018 application states;
Photographs of yourself
Photographs of any dependants applying
Passports
National identity cards
Travel documents
Biometric Residence Permits
Police registration certificates
Letter/documents from your employer
Birth certificate/s
Life in the UK pass notification letter
English language speaking and listening qualification
Bank statements
Building society savings books

4. Question re above (I'm applying through UK Ancestry);
- Does my employer letter need to state my holiday allowance per year?
- Do I need to supply a birth certificate for Ancestry?
- Do I need to supply bank statements for my main bank account only or all?
- Is 3 months payslips and bank statements enough?

Thank you so much if you've been reading.

1. Yes, ignore if you have paid online.

2. Should not be an issue.

3. Last payslip.

- Do I need to supply a birth certificate for Ancestry? Possibly not but best to take them with you just in case.
- Do I need to supply bank statements for my main bank account only or all? Likely only your main salary bank account.
- Is 3 months payslips and bank statements enough? Should be fine. Take 6 months just in case.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. I really appreciate it.

I hopefully just have one last question;

Section 6. Do you currently have valid leave to enter or remain in the UK?
Answer yes or no

Does that apply to me as I'm on a UK ancestry visa?

Thank you!

Well it would be yes as you have a valid visa, ie leave to enter aka Ancestry visa.

Hello

I also have a question regarding the SET (O) application form.

I am applying for ILR and I am on the second of two ancestry visas. I arrived in the UK in 2008 originally but my second visa was issued in 2013. There are two questions which I am unsure how to answer.

1. Question 6.1 When did you first enter the UK asks you to list the date upon which the application is based, which is fine but then later in question 7.13 I have to declare how long I’ve lived in the UK. I’ve read elsewhere that I should only refer to the visa which applies to the qualifying period for my current ILR application however, am I meant to lie and say I've only been in the UK for 5 years, rather than 10? My date of entry was in 2008, not 2013 but my current BRP is valid from October 2013. My letters and supporting documents from my employer say I've been with them since 2008 so I’m not sure what to answer for this question.

2. Question 10.12 asks if you’ve ever had fingerprints taken as part of a previous immigration application to the UK. I have a BRP already and had to do the Biometric enrolment in 2013 for my second visa so do I declare that on this question?

If I do declare any of this information, will I need to bring all the documents I used for the first visa? I have them all and it isn’t a problem for me to bring them to the NCS appointment, but other posts seem to suggest you don’t need them.

Any help you can provide gratefully received.
