New Tier 2 BRP Starting Date

Hi,

When applying Tier 2 General Visa within UK (changing employer), will the new BRP card always start from the date when they are returned? If it starts later, does UKVI return the old BRP card? Will I be able to travel in between?

Usually starts from date of approval.

If it starts later, does UKVI return the old BRP card?

Not returned as your previous visa will have been cancelled and the BRP is no longer relevant or active.

No, you need your BRP which is your visa, to board the plane as proof of right to enter and return to come back to the UK.

Your letter is not sufficient.
