Should I hire an Australian migration agent?

Hi,

I am planning on applying for Australian Partner Visa. My partner is based in Perth, and I am in India. Would our chances of getting the Partner visa be better if we use a migration agent? We are thinking of approaching one based in Australia. What do you guys suggest? I feel hiring an agent will ease the process for us, at least with regards to getting all the relevant paperwork right.
