Long Residence - Do I qualify

Post by hrishikeshgawde » Mon Sep 10, 2018 11:32 am

I need expert advise regarding ILR application on basis of 10 years residence.

I arrived in uk on 13 March 2009

In 2011 i left country on 16 Aug 2011

I came back to UK on 26 March 2012

So will it be possible to apply ILR on 10 year residency.

For an example If i apply on Feb 13 2019 and calculate continues residency back to back year it is coming as 171 Days

I do not remember but in 2011 my student visa was expired in Sep 2011 thats the reason i left country and i received PSW from india on 24 March 2011

Not sure how you are calculating this? What do you mean by it 'coming to 171 days'?? Are you trying to split your absence into 2 separate 12 month periods? It doesn't work like that for long residence ILR unfortunately.

Your continuous residence is broken as you were absent for more than 180 days. You should have returned to the UK before 12 February 2012 to maintain your continuous residence.
