Second job while in Tier 2 Visa

Post by mhdazeem » Wed Sep 12, 2018 2:21 pm

Hi,

I am on tier 2 Visa and just got my Extension for another 3 years. Is it possible if I take another job (Part-Time, weekends) in the same category and after 5 years based on the combined salary of both jobs apply for the ILR? For instance, If I am earning £31000/anum (Primary Job) and £12000/anum (Secondary Job) and the total of these jobs would be £45000/anum. Would I be able to apply for ILr after 5 years?

Thanks
Muhammad

You cannot use your salary from your secondary job to make up the requirement for ILR. Your salary from your main employer and sponsor is the only one used to meet the ILR income requirement.
