Hi
i got visa 3 weeks ago under 10 years routes.i want to change this to 5 years routes. and i got job and i will start on coming monday and wages is more then 18600..
can you please tell me what is the procedure and what is the requirement for this ? and if i chose same day service for switch to 5 years route how much is the fee and i have to fill any application form and is best to do solicitor ?

You cannot switch until you have held the job for a period of 6 month and has earned at that rate for the requisite period.

i need some advice for my application
the home office gave me visa under 10 years basis and my solicitor told me that if you meet all requirment then you can switch from 10 years to 5 years. but now i asked some other solicitors they said you cant do because that the time of application you were overstay. i am really confused what to do.

You can switch. Your 'solicitor' is talking nonsense. Your clock for ILR will reset to zero and a new 5 year period though.

You will have to pay the full visa fees and IHS fees again when you apply.
