PBS Dependent Visa

Posting for a family friend...

• Wife has ILR since 2015 (Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer for 5 years, arrived before Apr 2010)
• Husband came to UK in 2014 as Tier 2 Dependent for his Wife
• One child born outside UK in 2017 and came to UK as Tier 2 Dependent

Husband and Child Visa will expire on 31 Jan 2019 and Husband will complete 5 year on Tier 2 Dependent on 31 May 2019.

Can you confirm if following are correct:

• Both Husband and Child will have to apply for renewal of PBS Dependent Visa and cannot apply directly for ILR
• New PBS Dependent Visa will be valid for two years, they don't have option of applying for a shorter duration Visa.
• Both Husband and Child will have to pay for Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)
• IHS will have to be paid for full two year period.
• They will need to show bank statement having balance of £620 for each applicant, for a period of 90 days before application.

What is the exact date that the first PBS Dependent visa was issued? Simply stating 'they came in 2014' is not enough information for anyone to offer advice.

New PBS Dependent Visa will be valid for two years, they don't have option of applying for a shorter duration Visa.

It is a 3 year extension NOT a 2 year extension.

Yes, £600 each.

IHS will have to be paid for full two year period.
