Non-Executive Director

Post by edj » Fri Sep 28, 2018 3:40 pm

Hi all,

Hopefully this is an original post (can't seem to find any notes on this anywhere).

Would it be possible to become a non-executive director of a company whilst sponsored on a Tier 2?

It won't be much work, I estimate maybe 5 hours a week for reading, researching, compiling papers and attending monthly/quarterly board meetings.

Thanks.
E.

Is it in the same line of work and industry/field as your main job?

How will you be paid??

Likely will be a charity/foundation - but different from my SoC (Standard Occupational Code) code.

With that said, I looked into the guidance and I think I can do it if it's voluntary work (completely unpaid).
