Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and I realise some of the following questions will have been answered elsewhere. Forgive me for tardiness, but I wanted some advice relevant specifically to me. I also want to thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this.
I am a British citizen (though born in China), studied primary and high school education here and now study at a University in Scotland. I met my girlfriend in November of 2017 and now are living together in my parent's home as of May 2018. She is here on a Tier 4 student visa due to expire on January of 2021.
I believe there is an option to attain a "spousal visa" if you have lived together and can prove that for 2 years. I now want to prepare evidence for this application and I thought this may be the appropriate place to ask for validation.
First and foremost, do we even qualify for a spousal visa if we genuinely have lived together for 2 years? I should also mention, although we are not employed, we do have combined savings of above GBP 62'500, so do we indeed meet financial requirements?
Secondly, this is the evidence we have at the moment, and I wonder if this is valid?
1. Facebook, Wechat messages dating back to 2017.
2. Photographs of us being together since 2017.
3. Tickets for trains and flights and hotels on holidays since knowing each other in December of 2017.
4. Have many mutual friends who can support this.
5. Receipts for online shopping for the same address?
Thirdly, I plan on acquiring these pieces of evidence for that application. Would this be appropriate:
1. Utility bills for my parent's home
2. Joint bank account for this address
3. GP and Dentist Address
4. Payment of broadband for this address
5. Anything else?
If I have not provided sufficient information, please ask me! I am sorry if any of this information is confusing or unclear.
Any help at all, or any advice and suggestions would be so helpful. Thank so you much!
Best regards
