Ilr for spouse (5 year route)

Post by Has_786 » Tue Oct 02, 2018 10:46 am

Hi people

I am new here and I just need some information from you kind people.

My wife has completed 5 years stay in the UK after a spouse visa and flr visa. Now is the time to apply for the ilr visa and i just had a few questions.

1- she receieved a biometric card on the flr visa. So does she need to enrol all bio information again? Meaning go to the post office and all that stuff?

2- whilst my wife was here was had 2 babies. Does that meanin i have to earn the £18600 plus the fee for 2 babies. Even though they were born here. What proof/evidence do we send for the 2 babies.

3- if she applies online. Then she just send the evidence right? We dont have to fill the paper application form in?

Thanks to all who may help in advance.

Yes she has to enroll biometrics again. She has to do it for each application she makes and will have to do it again when and if she applies for citizenship.
2- whilst my wife was here was had 2 babies. Does that meanin i have to earn the £18600 plus the fee for 2 babies. Even though they were born here. What proof/evidence do we send for the 2 babies.
If the children are British, then they are excluded from the financial calculation and you only have to meet the £18,600pa level.
3- if she applies online. Then she just send the evidence right? We dont have to fill the paper application form in?
No need for paper form if you use the online Set(M) form.

CR001 thanks alot

One more thing.

In the 5 years we been together We have lived at 3 seperate dwellings. Do we have to prove the whole 5 years that we stayed together and stuff for this ilr visa or just prove the last 2.5 years which ws basically the flr visa timescale.

Also can i Just confirm then the only proof i need to send is for

Employment (6 months payslips, p60, employment confirmation letter)
Proof of accomodation (tenancy agreement, utility bills, bank statements)
Cohabitation proof

Anything else?

Thanks again to anyone who helps in advance

Only need to provide cohabitation evidence since your last visa renewal i.e. covering the past 2.5 years.

Also can i Just confirm then the only proof i need to send is for

Employment (6 months payslips, p60, employment confirmation letter) contract, if possible
Proof of accomodation (tenancy agreement, utility bills, bank statements) council tax, if possible
Cohabitation proof

For a complete list, please search for the various threads on this website.

Thank you Nomi

Another quick question.

Is it true mobile phone bills are not accepted as cohabitation proof? What about tenancy agreement? Meaning for cohabitation proof?

Problem is she is covered for pretty much the last 2 years but the 6 months before that when we were living with my parents she has no bill or letter for that time as she was not on any bill and all old hospital letters and whatver have all been destroyed by now.

What can i do?

Thanks again to anyone who helps in advance.

The advantage of online application is that the evidence you need is very clear. Once you answer the questions, it will tell you exactly what to send, customised to your application.

Also, once you pay for your application, the confirmation and Biometric letter will be automatically generated. So you dont have to wait for them to send you one. I enrolled for my biometrics at the same time as i posted the supporting documents.

I am not sure about mobile bills, but if you have proof of cohabitation for the last two years, you could explain it in the covering letter.

I have submitted Three mobile monthly bills during my previous visa extensions, I have never had problems. Although, one point I would like to clarify is that my evidence has always exceeded the number required by UKVI i.e. I submit more than 20 correspondence letters as opposed to 6 in joint names or 12 individual ones.

Moreover, on the actual SET M paper form, it says on Page 51 'Telephone bills or statements' as one of the acceptable items of correspondence, this I believe should answer your query.
If you don't have enough from the first 6 months, simply explain it in the covering letter or the section on form where they ask whether you need to mention anything else.

Hi

thanks for everyones help

I just wanted to confirm. When my wife applies for her set m ilr online. Will she get an automatic email reply telling her to do her biometrics enrolment. Meaning it is a computer generated email and we can go post office straight away and enrol the biometrics and send of off the evidence.

Thanks again cr001 and everyone else.

I always say last question but heres another few. Sorry 😇

1- my wife sends here original passport and 2 pictures with the application right?

2- does she need to send my original passport and 2 pics also? Is that enough? Does she need to send birth cert, driving license or anything like that

3- we have had 2 children both born in the uk. Does she need to send any docs for them? Like passport, pics or anything

4- should she send the marriage cert again?

5- regarding the cohabitation evidence, does it matter if 6 months is the same evidence. We are sending thames bill, council tax and bank statement. Does it matter if april 2016 is a bank statement then july 2016 is also a bank statement then october is a thames bill then january is another bank statement.

Thanks again everyone really

God bless you

Sory only posting again incase there was a problem. The lovely people on this forum normally reply help quickly but i didnt receive any answers. - A lot of your questions below will be answered when you actually apply for the ILR online as it gives you a tailored Documentation List. Below answers are in accordance with the list I got when I applied for my SET M ILR a few weeks ago

I always say last question but heres another few. Sorry 😇

1- my wife sends here original passport and 2 pictures with the application right? - Yes

2- does she need to send my original passport and 2 pics also? Is that enough? Does she need to send birth cert, driving license or anything like that - Both yours and her Passport and 2 photos need to be submitted.

3- we have had 2 children both born in the uk. Does she need to send any docs for them? Like passport, pics or anything - The online form never asks any details pertaining to British Children as they are not subject to immigration so no you don't.

4- should she send the marriage cert again? - No need for ILR.

5- regarding the cohabitation evidence, does it matter if 6 months is the same evidence. We are sending thames bill, council tax and bank statement. Does it matter if april 2016 is a bank statement then july 2016 is also a bank statement then october is a thames bill then january is another bank statement. - As long as there are atleast 3 different sources, you will be fine.

Thanks again everyone really

God bless you

Hi

My mrs just applied online for her ilr as dependent. My children were born in the Uk. I definitly didnt enter them as applying for ilr either.

I think i remember somewhere the ho asking for babies passports. Am i mistaken or does that sound right?

Do i have to print and send the checklist as well?
