Payment Options.

Post by safuri » Wed Oct 03, 2018 2:03 pm

Good Afternoon everyone. Please I am new here. I am quite confused about the payment options on the new SET(LR) application form. It says Visa ,Mastercard, Amex, Maestro, Solo as the card payment options. Can I pay with a visa debit card as well?. I noticed visa debit card is not listed in the options. Please gurus in the house , I need your input asap. Thank you all.

you Debit card issuer is from Visa, so you have to select Visa option

Applying for my dependant.

Post by safuri » Tue Oct 09, 2018 10:14 pm

Good evening everyone. Trust we all have had a good day? Please I need some inputs from the inhouse gurus.

I just made a postal application for SET (LR).Yet to hear from the HO (no acknowlegement letter but fees taken).

My wife however has been here for 9 years . I would like to know which is the appropriate FLR Application form for her to fill as she has not been in the UK for 10 years and when her application can be sent.
Thank you as I await your responses.

FLR(M) if she meets the English and financial requirements.

What date does her current visa expire?

Thank you CR001 for the response.

I have always applied at the same time with her until now. We both applied for an Enterprenuer Extension before our visas ran out on the 19th July 2017. We are yet to hear about the application from the home office. I arrived in the Uk in September 2008. As I am 10 years already in the U.k I had to vary my application to ILR which was sent by post on the 2nd of October 2018. I am yet to hear from the HO. The fees has been taken though. Thats the reason I need to know when to send hers. Do I need to wait till mine is granted? I don't want her to have issues as she has been my backbone.

You should have sent flr(m) to vary her application at the same time.

She doesn't qualify for a tier 1 dependent extension if you get ILR based on long residence.

Have you notified the tier 1 ent team of the variation as well??

@CR001, Thanks for the quick response.

I never knew I have to send her FLR at the same time as mine.
If I get my ILR based on long residence, what can she then apply for/as?
I did not notify the ent. Team but accompanied my application with a cover letter about my intention to vary my application from tier1 ent to ilr.
Please what can I do regarding her application now?

Many thanks.

You need to apply to vary her application to flr m.

If she doesn't have English A1 and you don't meet the financial requirements, you will have to do flr FP 10 year partner route

CR001, Thank you for your input. I actually thought I would need to wait for my variation to be accepted before I can apply for hers as I read somewhere on this forum where someone was advised to verify his variation for ILR had gone through before applying for his spouse.
Also a solicitor told me I will need to apply for my variation first and do hers later.

Thank you again for your contribution CR001.

You can do that, ie. once you get acknowledgment or biometric letter with your case ID. You will then need to apply for your spouse and link it to your ILR LR application and ask HO to decider her application once your ILR has been decided.

You don't want to risk her PBS Dependent extension being refused or invalidated as she will then be an overstayer.

CR001,
I do not want to risk.her being an overstayer .Thats the reason why I want to clarify when to put her application in.I would need my case ID to link her application with.

Than you so much for your help and clarifications.
