10 years route

Post by djsomalia » Tue Oct 09, 2018 10:33 pm

Hello,

I am in a situation not sure if someone has been.

My wife came from Yemen on a visitor visa we got married and we expecting a baby soon. I am a british citizen.

At the moment Yemen is war and we applied for a 10 year ILR if i am right with a immigration specialist. what are her chance to get it approved?

Or what can we expect from home office and how long will it take?

Best answer probably with the immigration specialist who would know how strong your case is.

If you have a family life established here which with a child you do, InshaAllah you will probably get leave outside the rule

we applied for a 10 year ILR
What form exactly did you complete? She doesn't qualify for 10 year ILR (PR) if she has not lived in the UK legally for 10 years.

Do you mean you applied FLR(FP) 10 year Partner route?? If yes, this is only a 2.5 year visa, if she gets it.

We applied FLR(FP) 10 year Partner route, She has passed her Language test and i earn over 35K a year, and baby due in 1 months. The immigration Solicitor said the chance is good as the war still going on and she can go back to her country to re-apply and she is heavily pregnant. is it true?

If she had english and you meet the financial requirements, why did she not apply for the FLR(FP) 5 year Partner route?

When did she come to the UK?

How did you get married, through the HO approved Registry office or an Islamic marriage conducted in the UK??

I dont know why i applied for the visitor visa. i thought that was easier to do and she got in in 3 days.

She came June in the UK, we got married through approved registry office in Barking and approved by the Home Office.

All you can do is wait now. The FLR(FP) applications can take a very long time, some have been waiting many months or more than a year.

Most airlines won't let pregnant passengers on board after the 36-week mark.

If they grant her the FLR(FP), then she may switch to FLR(M) from inside the UK.
