ILR after 5 year period for pbs dependent

Post by Sonik » Sun Oct 14, 2018 7:22 pm

Hello everyone. I’m really worried at the moment. I was given entry clearance on 26/06/2012 and enter uk on 13/08/2012. Me and my mom are on dependent visa of my father. He is already British. He gained British citizen 2 months ago. Me and my mom has already extended visa 2 times in Uk and our current visa is going to expire on 21/03/2019. Now my question is will me and my mom be able to apply for ILR? We have already done our life in uk and B1 test. Does it matter that it has already been 6 years and we won’t be able to apply for ILR? I’m going to university next year and I’m worried That if I don’t obtain ILR it will affect on my studies. Please could someone help me with this question

On what basis did your father apply for ILR, 5 years PBS route or 10 years long residence?

How old are you??

You both could have applied for ILR years ago after 2 years residence.

So yes, you can both apply as long as you both still hold PBS Dependent visas and did not switch to FLR(M).
