Seek advice for son's university education

Post by Rajajul Budha » Mon Oct 15, 2018 8:58 pm

Hello friends,

I am on an ICT Tier 2 visa in U.K since 2016. My term and visa will expire in 2020. My son came to the UK as my dependent and is currently doing his sixth form. He wants to do his university education here. Kindly advise me on the following.
01. Is he eligible to do university course?
02. If admitted his course will start in 2019 and my visa will expire in 2020. Can he switch over to any other visa type?
03, Is he eligible for any fee concession? Any idea about the fee structure?
04. Which are the best universities to do a graduation in Physics?
05.Any possibilities for a scholarship?
06. Is there any form of finance available?

Thanks and Regards

1. Yes

2. Yes, tier 4 if he can get sponsorship.

3. No. He will pay international fees, likely in excess of £13k per year, depends where he goes.

4. He would need to do his own research based on his circumstances. Unreasonable to expect volunteers on a forum to know which are best unis for a specific degree course

5. He would need to look into it and do research.

6. Not through student finance company no. Loans at bank etc you would need to search yourself.
