Hello All,
Good to be back on the forums, as in previous posts, my wife attained ILR on 1st of June 2018, as she is married to a BC, she can apply for her naturalisation as a British citizen straight away.
I have been doing reading on the forums and the naturalisation as a British citizen guide page 14 Applications made on the basis of residence in the United Kingdom in where she has to provide evidence of lawful residence 3 years before the date of application.
now, it clearly states you need in the guide page 14-15:
Your passports
&
If your passport is not stamped when you come into the United Kingdom, for example
because you have a right of abode in the United Kingdom or you are a national of the
“Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” or Taiwan, you must send your passport and
also provide alternative evidence of residence as above. If you are an EEA national,
you must additionally provide the information listed below.
My wife has both her passports (old & current valid) and after inspection of the current valid passport she travelled 3 times in 3 years, in which entry stamps into the UK (with BRP permit numbers hand written) are clearly present. As she has to provide evidence of lawful residence for the last 3 years from the date of application, my understanding is, it would be on the onus for her to prove she has been resident and in the UK from October 2015 if we are to assume the application is submitted in October 2018.
My question is, , do she still need extra documentation to prove for her lawful residence in the UK, apart from her passports?
sorry for the long explanation and a short question. All help would be appreciated on this.
