Citizenship for child - Parent British by Descent

Hi there,

Does anyone know the timeline for getting a citiznship for a child born outside of the UK to a parent with British citizenship by decent:
1. Does the child need to be in the UK for 3 full years before we can apply?
2. Does the child need to be living in the UK at the time the application is made?
3. How long does the process take from the moment the application is submitted until the citizenship is granted?

1. Yes, assuming you did not live in the UK for 3 years before the child was born.

2. Yes.

3. It takes a couple of months up to 6 months.
