Councils Settlement Checking service - BRP? Keep or return?

Post by Ask2020 » Wed Oct 17, 2018 6:09 pm

Hey! Utterly confused. I entered the UK on 21 Dec 2013 as a spouse dep and would have been here 60 months this dec. looking to apply through the council checking service - settlements checking service and the Camden council appointment booking system suggests they will keep my current BRP? I.e my biometric residence permit and send with application so I won’t be able to travel in December. Is that correct? Thanks

Please do share your experience of the councils service and holding / forwarding of originals to ukba 😊😔

If you read my response in the other topic you tagged onto, you will see why you cannot travel. If you have travel plans, you should apply in person at a premium service centre for a same day decision. It costs more though.

Leaving the UK while you have an application for a visa extension or ILR pending means your application will be treated as withdrawn and if your spouse visa has expired, you won't be able to re-enter the UK.
