ILR Dependent - 180 days Issue **Please Help!!!!**

Hello Experts,

I understand for muiltiple forms that 180 days outside country rule has changed now.

Im not sure if i understood it correct or not - in one thread someone said Homeoffice can take Any random 12 months (Not 12months set which starts immediatly before application launch date and continues every 12months)
Which is very strange!!

Im A British citizen and my wife is ILR dependent.

My wife's ILR dependent Visa was first granted on 07 Aug 2015
ILR Dependent first extension - Starts from 09-02-2018 untill 04-09-2020

we planned the out of country stay based on 12 months set preceding application date and made sure non of the 12 consecutive months exceed 180 days

But As per the new 180 days rule if they take random 12 months i.e mix part of 3rd year and 2nd year then 180 days will exceed !! i dont know if that is what the rule says Please suggest.

please help in answering my question.

The 180 days applies ONLY to PBS dependent visa holders nd NOT to spouse of BC visa holders.
