HELP NEEDED -

Post by zedane1 » Wed Oct 24, 2018 10:48 pm

HI
i have applied for naturalisation and recently received a letter back from home office.
they have given me 7 days to provide some extra information.
i rang them up using the general enquiry number they give on internet. the people who answer these phone just stick to the rules and you can ask them to give you an extra week so to obtain the info they require.
is there another way to contact them and to talk to someone who makes these sorts of decisions.

What is it that they have requested and is there a problem providing it?
Perhaps you can explain and get an opinion here. There is no easy way of contacting case workers unless they contact you in the first place. Help line gives generic advice as you have gathered.

hi thanks for reply
they have requested B1 test cert .
we dont have it but we can get it not a problem
but we need a little extension on the 7 days .to do the B1 test you need certain id but the only id we have is a passport and while it was with home office it has expired so now i cannot do the test .
i can apply for new passport but that will take longer than the 7 days they have given me to had in B1 cert.
so how can you contact the caseworker direct ?

How did you miss the requirement to submit English B1??

What is your UK immigration history?? Do you hold ILR or PR and if yes, what route did you follow?

Very limited - from gov.uk:

When you do not need to take the test

You do not need to take the test if you:
are under 18
are 65 or over
have passed it before - for example, if you’re applying to become a citizen and already passed it as part of your settlement application
have a long-term physical or mental condition - you must provide either a form or letter from a doctor confirming your physical or mental condition

B1 is the only level you can submit with the application, or if you have a degree from a UK university - do not take advice which is not supported by the AN documentation..

Note that if you do not have ILR nor PR, then you cannot naturalise.

hello
thanks for replies
i have a ILR stuck on on expired passport the date on that sticker is 02/02/2010
and it says settlement on it.
i came on a spouse visa in 2007.

i think we are moving away from my problem. i have applied to renew my pakistani passport but it will take 7 days minimum. that will take me over the date they have given me to submit my B1 test cert.
all i wanted was another 7 days
