New Changes to Visa Application System in end 2018

Hello everyone,

Thanks to everyone who contribute frequently to help each other out with queries related to Visa/ILR processes and sharing PSC experiences.

I applied yesterday at Sheffield PSC and my ILR (using 5 year Tier-2 route) was approved. But for the last 4 weeks I have been trying feverishly to book appointments (from 12am-6pm) for my wife and child nothing comes up at any center.

So yesterday during my visit I spoke to Sheffield PSC staff and they mentioned the reason why no more appointments are being released is because of the new changes about to be rolled off in Dec/Jan. But did not elaborate on it. So I tried to look for it online and did not find anything except for the last paragraph of this article.

Anyone has any info to support this or to have more clarity on this?

Oh, this changes are important to me. Correct me if my understanding is wrong: Does it mean now we can submit and upload documents online and so we can retain the original documents such as passports with us but we still have to come to a service point to take biometric information and for them to check the original documents?
