Cooling Off to Tier 2 (General)

Hi, Could some one assist me on my query, about Cooling off period. Does it mean my clock will resit after my cooling off serving. I will be eligible 3+3 after cooling period.

I had a Tier 2 before for 1.7 months and Switched to Dependent served more than 12 months in Dependent visa. Now Would like apply Tier 2. Does my Previous Tier 2 which I was spent 1.7 will calculate or it will treat as fresh Tier 2 visa (3+3)

A new tier 2 is a new 6 year time limit you can spend on tier 2.

Ypur previous 1.7 months tier 2 time is lost and irrelevant.

Could also advice . is there any reference UKBA link which says that 6 years for Tier 2 general will resit after cooling off. That will really help.

I couldn't find this?

Just to update you. You are right Cooling off also applies who switch their visa within UK into different Categories and It will treat as fresh 6 years as I was was in dependent visa for more than 12 month. and I i have served the cooling off. Thanks for your update
