60 working days

Post by r_majid » Fri Nov 02, 2018 3:23 pm

Could someone please advise if the 60 working days count from when you submit your online application.

I submitted mine on 14 August 2018 so I'm assuming my 60 working days will end on 6 or 7 November.

Could someone also provide the telephone number and email address that should be contacted for spouse visa once the 60 working days are over.

Thanks.

If the Home Office will not take care of the application within the 60 working days, then you should get an email to say so. Most wordings from the Home Office say the 60 day target runs from the time you have paid for the application online.

You should indeed hear soon, either a decision or an email to say sorry, not yet.

You can phone them for an update but doing so if they have sent the email is just a waste of money as they will effectively be letting you know it will take longer so they will just take your money from the premium rate phone call and repeat what is in the email.

Sit tight, be patient as you are closing in on the time when they do, at least, get in touch. Always a chance that when they do, it is to say the visa is issued :)

Thanks

If I receive an email saying decision made or it will take longer then the 60 days then I won't contact them as like you said they will just repeat the email. But if they don't then I will.

What are the contact details.

Yes it is Pakistan.

My 60 working days were over today and I have received the automated email saying the case was not straightforward and a decision has still not been made.

I really hope it doesn't take as long as 8 or 9 months.

Don't worry and remain optimistic as many people even got the visa next day of receiving this automatic email.

Is it still worth calling to escalate my case even after receiving the automated email of going over 60 days as it’s not straightforward.

If you have few spare quids then no harm in trying.

Hi

I have one job where I do 15 hours a week as I’m a carer.

They asked when I started, job role what I do. Who else works there. Where my office was what it looks like. Just making sure I actually work there. How much I’m paid how I’m paid.

Basically everything I provided on the form was asked again.

When did you apply? Did you apply for someone in Pakistan or somewhere else?

Has anyone been called and asked about there employment and got a decision. How long after was a decision made.

I’m just wondering if they have asked me about my employment are they close to making a decision or is it gonna take a lot longer.

Thanks

No one can tell you the answer. It could be at any time. It can either be at the very beginning of the checks after they receive your docs, or it can be from an ECO trying to double check just before a decision is made.

No two applications are the same, or processed the same way. So best thing to do is not try and pre-guess based on others applications.
