Spouse visa application plus income requirements ?

Good afternoon Amber, I have few questions to ask as I am planing to apply for my wife's spousal visa from Pakistan.
1- I'm self employed and about to pay my tax to HMRC for 2017-2018. As I'm going to apply for my wife's spouse visa in next year May, so I'll be paying my Tax for the year 2018-2019 in next year April. For this part my question is do I have to show my income in both years above 23K and then pay tax on it? As I have heard that if self employed, one has to show 2 years of tax paid in self eployment.
2- will there be any questions regarding my self employment?
3- Does my wife has to pass any English Language test ? If so which one is it ?
4- How long does Home Office take to reply after application is made ??
