Switching to Tier 2 General from Tier 2 dependant

Hi,

I am trying to switch to Tier 2 General from Tier 2 Dependant.
What will be the visa category that I should be applying for?
The reason is my employer released a COS and the Tier and Category mentioned is "Tier 2 (General - Switching Immigration Category).
I believe this is not applicable for Tier 2 Dependants who are switching to Tier 2 General.

Kindly advise what should be Tier and Category on the Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) for someone who is switching from Tier 2 Dependant to Tier 2 General.

Tier 2 General new hires as you have to apply from home country with a restricted Cos not an Unrestricted Cos.
