Temporary accommodation

Hi
I am on a spouse visa and it’s need a renewal at the end of Dec 2018 . Due to some circumstances we end up as a homeless and now residing in a council hostel . Although we are paying rent here . All other requirements like income threshold etc are fullfiled . So could you please guide me that is living in a council hostel will effect my FLR application . Please avoid negative comments . Thanks

HO not tolerate overcrowding or homelessness for immigration purposes. However, if as you saying of paying rent then maybe fine if council issue you necessary documents.

It's more important that you can show you have correspondences going to this new accommodation. Unlike first application for spouse visa for FLR you do not need to show tenancy agreements etc, you have to show proof of addresses.

Have you got letters etc addressed to this new place?

In my view if tenancy agreement will not necessarily be needed but its equivalent documents such as council noc letter etc will be needed. Proof of addresses are for satisfying cohabitation requirement not accommodation.

In my opinion if the form asks that then it would definitely be needed.
