1. I will be sending all the supporting documents from here in UK to Sheffield directly. I want to know if the online application form needs to be printed and sent along with the supporting documents and if it needs my husbands signature on them ?
2. At the VFS biometrics appointment, does my husband need to go only with printouts of payment confirmations for visa, health, appointment letter and the printed application form or does he need appendix 2 and the other supporting documents as well with him even though I'm planning to send them from here (I will be having the originals while he plans to go to VFS appt.) ?
3. After the VFS appointment will my husband need to send me any receipts that VFS gives (if any) for eg: biometric proof or something, for me to be sending them along with the documents to Sheffield.
It seems extremely confusing about the VFS process and I'd be glad if people who have done Biometrics via VFS India (esp. Bangalore) can be of help to me.

I have been working with this leading uk company for 5 years odd as an engineer and my current gross annual pre tax salary is around 33000 GBP. This is a permanent salaried role paid monthly. My gross monthly payments (pre tax) over the last 12 months in GBP is as follows.
Nov 18 - 2800
Oct 18 - 120 (unpaid leave)
Sep - 2800
Aug - 2500
Jul - 2800
Jun - 2700
May - 2700
Apr - 2700
Mar - 2700
Feb - 2700
Jan 18 - 1400 (unpaid leave)
Dec 17 - 2700
I had taken unpaid leaves in Oct 18 and Jan 18 and hence there is a loss of pay for those months.
NO
1. Which category do I apply in ?
category A
2. What options do I select in Appendix 2 from 3.11 to 3.22 ?
Please ask specifically with information relevant to you
3. How many salary slips and bank statements do I need to keep ?
send 12 for the safe side and importantly p60 although in case of confusion. also write a cover letter.
Its definitely not category B rather falls under category A and more likely seems salaried person because most of the wages figures are identical. In case of salaried person the HO will take the lowest wages figures during the last 6 months which in your case is £120 which wont meet the financial requirement. However, if you wish then may request HO to consider it via non-salaried person where the average of last 6 months of wages will be taken and in your case it will easily meet the requirement by that way.vnt2018 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 7:04 amI'm in the process of sponsoring the settlement visa of my husband and is confused about the financial requirements. I m disagreed from your opinion too because op is working for more than 6 months with same employer and if wish then can apply as non-salaried person where instead taking the lowest wages figure in last 6 months the average of last 6 months wages will be taken to get the annualized average income under category A.Londoner007 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 9:24 amWrong and disagree with seagul.
CAT A will be refused as caseworker will take lowest payslip (£1200 in October) from last 6 months for their calculations, which will bring salary to £14,400.
There is no point in taking a risk of "might" calculate it as non-salaried. Go with easier option of CAT B
