Tier 2 ICT 4.5 years and PBS dependent visa & ILR eligibility

Post by sanjay1976 » Mon Nov 26, 2018 9:29 pm

Hi,

I have Tier 2 ICT visa and already completed four and half years, and now my wife got a job with Tier 2 general visa and I have a plan to become her dependent. So if I continue with dependent visa, is my previous four and half years will count to get the ILR, or what's the system in this case. Please advice.

Regards,
Sanjay

No you cannot use time on ICT main visa with pbs dependent time to make up 5 years for ILR.

ICT does not lead to ILR based on 5 years at all.

You will need 5 years as pbs dependent for ILR or if you reach 10 year long residence and meet the requirements for ILR on that route.

Note that pbs dependent visas issued after 11 January 2018 are subject to the 180 days absence limits.
