Dependant Date for caluclating ILR requirement

Post by Sinanhabib » Mon Dec 31, 2018 4:23 pm

Hi
I have read this information according to the PBS dependent tire 1 or 2.
I have 2 questions
1. PBS dependent tire 2 calculation 5 years period will be count from the date of visa or from the date of entry to the UK?
2. What does the following mean?...
PBS dependants
You must not include any absence from the UK during periods of leave granted under the Rules in place before 11 January 2018 towards the 180 days allowable absences. For example, if a dependant’s qualifying period includes initial leave

granted from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2017, and an extension granted from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2019, you must not count any absences before 1 January 2018.
Thanks

1. Date visa started / was issued.

2. If your dependents DO NOT have a dependent visa issued on or after 11th January, then no need to declare absence. If they have a visa issued on or after 11th January 2018, they are subject to the new absence limits.
