Dear All

I am Madhu and I came on Marriage C visitor visa to get marry in UK . My Husband is British citizen. I got married last month in UK . My visa going to end next month . Just wanted to know - what visa I need to switch or extend ? Am i eligible for the ILR to apply ? . As I am still in UK , Whats the best visa to apply and change . The Immigration website is so much confusing . I will appreciate if anyone can suggest or help me out to sort my visa.

Marriage C visitor visa to get marry in UK .

How much did you pay for this visa?? Was it roughly £85 or did you pay roughly £1500?? If you only have the cheaper visitor visa, you are not able to switch to a spouse visa in the UK. You have to leave before your visa expires and apply for a spouse visa from your home country.

Am i eligible for the ILR to apply ?

No you are not. ILR is Indefinite Leave to Remain, ie. Permanent Residence. You don't qualify yet as you need 5 years residence first.

You need to apply for Family Visa - 5 year route.

As I am still in UK , Whats the best visa to apply and change?
You are on Marriage Visitor Visa which is 6 months, you'll need to leave the UK to apply for family visa if your visa is 6 months or less.
