Spouse visa - complex financial proof

Post by givemeajob » Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:19 pm

Hello!

I have a question about financial proof of 18600£ for a spouse visa.

I have lived in the U.K. for the past 5 years and had Tier 4 visa. Last summer I met my boyfriend. We did not to get married straight away as I thought I would find a skilled job. Unfortunately, despite all my interviews none of the companies were ready to offer me Tier 2 sponsorship. My Tier 4 expired on 21/01/19

Now I am back in my home country and we decided to get married as we both believe long term relationship would not work.

We decided to get married in Denmark and then I would just apply for a spouse visa in the U.K.

He is working in the restaurant and earned about £12000. I was also working in the restaurant in the U.K. up until the final week of my Tier 4 expiry date. I have earned about £9000 during current tax year.

Obviously, now I am back in my home country and do not have a job. I have been thinking about doing freelance work as a translator so I would still have some income in my bank account.

I am planning to apply for a spouse visa in ~2 months time.

The questions is would my partner’s payslips, my payslips from the job I had in the UK and my freelance work satisfy home office financial requirement of 18600£? Or shall I find an official job in my home country and then translate those payslips and include them together with my payslips from my job back in the UK?

I have tried to find if anyone had a similar problem but could not find the answer to my question.

Unfortunately you and your sponsor won't be able to satisfy the financial requirement because after 2 months your last payslip would long been older than 28 days which wouldn't accept. However if either or both of you got 6 months old savings of £32500 along with his £12000 pa job then might work.
