Tier 2 General COS issued before RLMT

Hi,

Am currently on Tier 2 General got a new job changing my employer in UK. My employer assigned me a new COS without conducting RLMT test. Basically as far as i know that if we have to conduct RLMT when changing SOC.

I just wanted to know as my COS is valid for 3 months, am planning to make my application after RLMT finished. Can anyone help me is it going to be a problem for my application as issued date on COS is very early than RLMT.

What is the SOC??

A CoS should only be assigned to the successful candidate AFTER the full and proper RLMT has been done.

Sorry for that SOC is standard occupation code, my job doesn't come under shortage occupation.

Well yes, as the whole purpose of RLMT is to prove to HO that ONLY you are suitable for the job and that no British/EU or settled person applied and were suitable. The way they have done it just makes a mockery of the whole RLMT process.

If you use the COS they have issued you run a high risk of refusal or if it is granted you will still face the risk if the Sponsor receives a visit.
The simplest and best option is for the Sponsor to withdraw the COS and reissue now that the RLMT has now been completed.
