Permanent Residence Card for NON-EEA national.

Post by DeeHai » Tue Feb 26, 2019 4:49 pm

Hi,

I'm in the process of applying for my wife's Permanent Residence Card in the hope once we recieve this we can apply for her British Passport. She is applying throuh as a Spouse of a EEA national.

Has anyone else had any experience with this i'm just awaiting for documents to prove she has lived in the UK (Bank statements are taking forever to come through the post!)

I suppose what i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas how long the process will take once i submit my application and am i right in saying when a NON-EEA national applies they can't do it online and only via the Form? also anyone been in a similar situation where they are awaiting the PR card so they can apply for british citizenship, will I need to await for the card to come through before i can send for that?.

Many thanks,
DeeHai

Are you an EU citizen having exercised treaty rights in the UK?

Is her 'visa' a EEA Residence Card or a spouse settlement visa??
