APPLY 28 DAYS BEFORE - ILR (TIER 2 GEN.)

Post by Junaidrai » Sun Jan 27, 2019 9:23 pm

Hi All,

I hope you all are doing great.

I am almost about to complete 5 years duration with the same employer on 15th March 2019 (based on Start date as per BRP not the date as per Decision letter).

My understanding is that we can apply for ILR application 28 days earlier than the qualification date (i.e. 15th Mar 2019).

My questions are as follows:-

Is this understanding TRUE?
IF YES,
Then does it means I can apply on 16th Feb-2019?

Just for the sake of understanding, Does the system abstain you from applying in case you are not eligible yet? e.g. if someone is calculating 28days period wrongly.

What is the average period of the actual appointment date? (e.g. 2 weeks later than online applications?) any idea?

A list of required documents will be very helpful.

Please, share your personal experience with ILR application based on Tier 2 Gen 5 years. it will be very helpful to understand the whole process.

Thank you very much All.

Regards,
JR

Yes, you can apply within 28 days. Any time earlier may lead to a refusal. The online system will show you available appointments for 14 days in advance

Absences from UK (Since first entered UK or Start of Tier 2 Gen. Employment)

Post by Junaidrai » Thu Mar 07, 2019 6:05 am

Hi All,

I am applying for ILR application based on Tier 2 Gen.

I first entered the UK in 2010 but my Tier 2 Gen. sponsored employment started in 2014.

Now while I am filling the online form it asks the following question:-

Since you first entered the UK, have you had any
absences from the UK?
The answer is "Yes"

Further, Under the immigration History section, it asks the following:-

when did you first entered the UK?
The answer is "2010"

What evidence will you provide to support the
reasons for all absences from the UK and Crown
Dependencies?

the confusion is the word "all" - does It mean I need to provide the travel history going back to 2010 or is it only needed since 2014 onwards?

My understanding is since 2014 on-wards but need your guidance on this please.

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Regards,
JR

For ILR based on Tier 2 General 5 years residence, it is ONLY the 5 years absence that is relevant.

p.s please be patient and wait for members to respond after you post instead of PM'ing for urgent response to your query as you only posted at 6.05am, when most are either still sleeping or getting families etc ready for school/work!!

Please DO NOT send me a PM for immigration advice. I reserve the right to ignore the PM and not respond.

Thanks CR001, your response is very helpful as always.

I am sorry once again to disturb you, I totally understand your point but unfortunately I am unable to disclose the situation on my end. As always I do respect your valuable advice. Normally I am not impatient but forgive me for this. Thanks once again :)
