Not on tenancy agreement

Post by Ben89 » Wed Jun 05, 2019 12:51 am

Hi all
I am brand new on here so apologies if I am posting in the wrong place/way.
Me and my gf (from the us. I am Uk citizen) have been together for five years now. She has been living with me for the past year on a tier 4 (student) but isn’t on the tenancy agreement. My landlord knows she is here but didn’t want to put her on because of insurance reasons. We have given notice of marriage and the HO decided not to investigate so are due to have the ceremony/switch visas before her current visa expires. Does anyone know if her not being on the tenancy agreement is going to be an issue when they investigate use? We can both provide things like bank statements/ correspondence etc. I’m also pretty sure I could get letters from the neighbors?
Any and all advice greatly appreciated
Cheers
Ben

No issue if she isn't named on tenancy agreement but landlord noc letter allowing her to live there will be needed.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
