Transit Visa

Hello,
Need some guidance.
I applied for my mother's Transit visa for UK as she have 10 hrs halt between her connecting flights to India from USA. At the same time we are planning to apply for her 2 yr visitor visa from India where she is normally based after reaching India. But UKVI issued her 6 months visa instead of 10 hrs visa. This visa have created confusion for our 2 yrs visa planning, as we have already booked appointment for her visa application in India with all payment done.
I would like to know, Can we still apply for her 2 yrs visa as per the original plan even though she have 6 month visa? How UKVI will see this application in general. I am really confused. Thank you in advance.

I don't think that she will be eligible initially to any visitor visa longer than 6 months. If she will fulfill her visitor visa requirement especially will only stay in UK for that duration which she has mentioned while getting the visa then her chances to get 2 years of visitor visa later might be bright.
