How to depot my husband

Hello, I want to depot my husband because i applied his spouse visa as soon as he came in UK he start hitting me and fighting with me his brother is with him who is helping him i cancel his visa but my solicitor helped them now i don't know did she cancel his spouse visa or not or he is living illegal i don't know what to do i went home office but they told me to go to police station i went police station but they told me to report to home office i don't feel safe because he work near my house plz can someone help what i should do
