Help help help

Post by Lthorne7 » Sun Sep 08, 2019 9:07 pm

My wife applied for a Uk visa from canada, she turned up to her biometric appointment and when she got there she had no supporting documentation ie wadge slips, bank statements or a copy of my passport! The lady sent the application of anyway along with her passport etc, she also gave her a letter to tell her she needed to send Apendix 2 Vaf 4a (2013) to an email address enclosed within the letter. Now we are both extremely worried she will be refused her visa because she supplied no supporting documentation. Can she send it to the address on the letter by email? I believe the address was visasheffield@homeoffice.gov.uk we’ve struggled to find any information or faq’s all the way through the process!!! Is supporting documentation required for applicant of all countries or just some? Many thanks

you can scan and send the supporting documents through your local vfs centre in UK;

Go through the link provided. You can submit them now by visiting one of your nearest vfs centre as mentioned in the list.
Supporting documents for a visa application
If you applied through Gov.uk you can upload your documents yourself, or bring your original supporting documents and use our Document Scanning Assistance service, at the Visa Application Centre, (For Settlement Customer supporting documents guidance – see below), and we will scan them for you and send them to UK Visas and Immigration. You can also submit photocopies you have made yourself, but they must be clear and legible.

If you have applied for your visa using Visa4uk, bring your original documents, into the Visa Application Centre, and we will scan them, send them to UK Visas and Immigration and hand them back to you. You can also submit photocopies you have made yourself, but they must be clear and legible.

Both processes enable you to keep your supporting documents during the application process.

For a fee you can, at any stage in the process, opt for the Document Scanning Assistance Service at the Visa Application Centre.

Alternatively, you can self-upload supporting documents without additional charge. If you do not have all the documents you need to submit now, you can continue to upload documents at any time before you attend your appointment. If you wish to self-upload your supporting documents, you should refer to the document checklist you have received as part of your online application.

Windrush applications are eligible for free Document Scanning Assistance at the Visa Application Centre. Windrush customers should upload their checklist or a blank document. If nothing is uploaded you will automatically be charged the assisted scan fee and this fee will be refunded to you.

You are responsible for uploading supporting documents for the correct category.

Please follow these instructions:

Once you have selected a document to upload please click the "upload documents" button at the bottom of the page. You need to do this for every document. If you do not click this button the document will not be saved.
Documents must be in one of the following formats - jpg, jpeg, pdf or png.
It is recommended that you do not upload more than 5 files at the same time. If you wish to upload multiple documents under each category, please select all the documents at once and then attach them.
Once you have successfully uploaded a document/s repeat the process until you have uploaded all your supporting documentation.
Please preview all documents before uploading them. Documents must be clear and legible to the recipient.

Settlement Supporting Documents
If you are applying for a settlement visa, there are four options available for you to submit your supporting documents:

For a fee you can, at any stage in the submission process, choose the Document Scanning Assistance Service at the Visa Application Centre;
You can self-upload supporting documents without an additional charge. If you wish to self-upload your supporting documents, you should refer to the document checklist you have received as part of your online application;
Your sponsor, agent or representative can submit the supporting documents on your behalf in the UK in person for a fee of £75.00 per application payable in cash or with a debit card. Please ensure to provide the documents as per the Checklist. Please note, any A4 size copies not in colour format will attract an additional user pay copy service if they have not been provided.

Locations to submit documents in Person under Option 3:
London: 66 Wilson Street, London, EC2A 2BT
Birmingham: 5 - 14 South Road, Smethwick, Birmingham, B67 7BN
Belfast: Merrion Business Centre, First Floor 58, Howard Street, Belfast, BT1 6PJ

Please read below for more details of the process, under: Settlement Visa - Sendin

If she given her biometrics very recently then its not late because usually the documents are sent after the biometrics if the applicant's vfs centre has no such facility.
