Indefinite Leave to Remain

Post by paramveerprm » Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:40 pm

Hi,
I just turned 18 in August and I am on a dependent visa, I have been in the U.K for about 2 year and 4 months. My father is getting his ILR in February as my visa expires in April should I apply for the renewal visa or apply for the ILR with my father.
My mother is also on the same dependent visa and has been in the U.K for 2 years 4 months. Should she apply for renewal visa or the ILR
Please advise me.
Thank you for time and consideration

Both you and your mother need to apply for an extension of your tier 1 dependent visas. Neither of you qualify for ilr.

This assumes your father is applying for ilr based on 5 years tier 1 and not 10 years long residence.

You don't qualify for ilr. You need an extension with your mother as I have already advised.

You will qualify for ilr when your mother does, provided you are still Dependent on your parents and not leading an independent life.
