Help regarding change of address

Post by maddyh » Fri Jan 17, 2020 6:21 pm

Hi all.

I’m currently on a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme visa and need some advice regarding changing address. I live with my parents and they recently have bought a house, so I am currently living with them there. Due to this, I do not pay any council tax or utility bills. My bank is still in my old address. I have informed UKVI of my change of address. However, I need to provide them with evidence of this. I will be calling them to inform them of my situation on Monday during their operating hours, but does anyone have any advice on how I can get proof of address despite not renting anywhere? I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

You don't need to update your new address if have no pending application

Really? I submitted the form and they emailed me saying that I needed to provide proof of address. I assumed that since I’m on the visa, I would have to provide them with that evidence. Thanks!

I submitted the form and received an email back saying that I need to provide proof of address within 10 working days. I must provide either:

Bank Statement
Mortgage statement
Credit card statement
Council Tax Bill
Rental Agreement (Current)
Benefit statement
Utility Bill

If you have already done that then simply change your address with bank and send them your bank statement
