Still confused whether I need to carry original / hard copies of supporting letters

Post by Eksh90 » Sun Jan 26, 2020 6:09 pm

So I am doing my ILR application (Tier 2 five years route) and have booked my UKVCAS appointment. I have gone through several threads on this forum and have heard differing opinions about scans / carrying documents.

I have also noted that:
It is NO LONGER required to send any of your documents to UKVI for processing as only digital scans are submitted. This means you keep your original documents while your immigration application is being processed.

So I have a few questions:

1. If I am scanning the online copies of my payslips, bank statements and letter from employer, do I still have to carry the original hard copies / print outs? (also, my bank statement is from my barclays online account and not stamped by the bank, will this be okay?)

2. Do I have to scan all the pages of my passport or can I leave this to be scanned at the appointment?

Apologies if this has been covered in other threads, I was unable to find this information. Thanks.

1. No.

2. You need to scan it all. Ukcvas only checks identity and does biometric unless you pay extra for additional services.

Thanks for your prompt response.

Just wanted to confirm as I read some people taking all the print outs of scanned documents to be safe, but seems like a hassle.

They only do in case something is not right but many haven't and have had non-issue. If you scan everything clearly, then there should be no-issue.
