Travelling before BRP card arrives

Post by boynextdoor6 » Mon Feb 10, 2020 3:44 pm

Dear all,

Primary applicant: Tier 2 (ICT) Long term

We have made arrangements to travel outside UK with our newborn kid. When its just three days before flight, we realized that there has to be a BRP card for our new born kid for her to enter back after vacation.
We booked appointment in super priority service today morning 9:00 to 9:30 AM and got approval email from home office in two and half hours. But this email states that BRP will still take normal time to reach us (7 to 10 working days). We are in a situation that we have to travel. I know one option is to let my friend collect/receive from post office with my authorization letter/pick up from our letter box if its been dropped in (many of my friends recently got it dropped in their letter boxes and no signature was needed) and send to us in a super fast courier service (we will be Toronto until end of this month). But would like to plan ahead for worst case scenarios that BRP didnt reached us due to any reason, what are our options to bring our baby back with us?

Kind Regards

BRP cards are delivered by DX Courier, not Royal Mail post.
