Referee for British Passport

Hello lovely people!

Just a quick question and I do apologise in advance if it’s been asked before - couldn’t find it.

Can I use the same referee for my British passport of professional standing who is also my friend that did my reference for my naturalisation?

If they meet the HM Passport Office referee requirements, yes.
