Leave to remain 10yr route

Post by anex76 » Wed May 20, 2020 11:25 am

hi all
i am currently on a 10 year Partner route . I am married and have a 4 year old child, i am of African origin and my wife is British. my 30 months of limited LTR finishes in a couple of months .
my questions are
1) can i apply for ILTR as i have only done two and a half years out of the 10 years ?
2) is there any other way to change from the 10 year partner ?
3) if not what is the form i use for the partner route ?

1. Yes, you need to apply for another 2.5 year visa extension.

2. If you meet the English and financial requirements, you can apply on FLR(M) for the spouse visa, which is a 5 year route to indefinite leave to remain. It will reset your clock and you will need 2 x 2.5 year FLR(M) visas for ILR on form SET(M).

3. FLR(FP) if you don't meet the FLR(M) requirments.
